    Team India to Compete at BMW Motorrad GS Trophy

    Mr. HK Naik from Bengaluru, Mr. Shakeel Basha from Coimbatore and Mr. V Sathyanath from Tirupur have been selected as Team India In GS Trophy Event (New Zealand). The Finalists were Chosen from a Two Day Thrilling event in Goa. More than 75 owners participated in the event. Individual riders battled out various stages of event, including hard-core adventure riding and teamwork challenges. Special tests included the display of riding capability, technique, navigation, fitness, mental alertness and mechanical skills.

    Mr. Rudratej Singh, President and Chief Executive Officer, BMW Group India said, “Friendly competition is good -it builds skills and a community of enthusiasts. We are delighted to introduce the second edition of GS Trophy qualifiers for our customers in India -3 times bigger than last edition. Every meter was packed with pure enduro fun. GS riders battled out intensive stages and numerous challenges focusing mainly on team their skills and camaraderie on the challenging exercises.

    We congratulate the three winners who will proudly represent India at the BMW Motorrad International GS Trophy final to be held in New Zealand.”The event is team competition, pitching the GS-riding international contingent against each other in a series of challenges. The winning team from India will compete against teams from Australia, China, France, Italy, Japan, Latin America, Malaysia/Philippines, Mexico, Middle East (UAE, Lebanon, Jordan, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar), Nordic (Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland), North Africa (Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt), Russia, South Africa, South Korea, Thailand, UK and USA.

    Triumph Conducts Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride Event

    Triumph Conducted its annual Distinguished gentleman Ride event to raise funds for Cancer research and Men’s Mental Health. The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride was founded in Sydney by Mark Hawwa, a classic car and motorcycle enthusiast, in 2012. Over the last eight years the event has grown by leaps and bounds. It is currently held across 110 countries and 700 cities.

    Triumph Motors is the Main sponsor for the event, the event held recently in India, is in its 6th Edition. Over 1500 participants took part in the event. Speaking about the 2019 Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, Shoeb Farooq, Triumph Motorcycles India said, “Three out of four suicides across the globe are by men. Men’s mental health and prostate cancer are still a taboo – not just in India, but globally as well. Men, to an extent, are also ignorant about their health; prostate cancer is the most common and ignored cause of cancer in men. To change this ignorance, the DGR was founded to bring about a unique approach and create awareness.

    The entire process of following a dress code and riding in harmony with fellow bikers is quite an enthralling experience to draw attention to men’s health issues. The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride is a wonderful initiative which has not just successfully raised awareness and funds for prostate cancer but has also strengthened the bond amongst fellow motorcyclists from the Triumph tribe and beyond.” The Event saw a Substantial increase in the funds being donated for the Cause. Besides the ride, where riders dress in Proper formal clothes, the Manufacturer gave out various prizes such as Most Distinguished Motorcycle, Couple, Gentleman, Lady, Mustache and highest funds Donor.

    Rider Mania Registrations open

    Rider Mania, the biggest Royal Enfield owner’s festival has opened for Registrations. It is an annual Motorcycling festival which brings together 8000 Royal Enfield Owners. The Festival will be held from Nov 22-24 in Goa. The festival will promote the use of no Plastic, all the participants will be provided with Metal Sippers during the time of registration. The festival will include events such as gear stalls, artwork, racing competitions.

    BIC Hosts the First Edition of Shell Ducati Riders Day in India

    It was a joyous moment for all Ducati Owners as they participated in a star studded Shell Ducati Ride Day event in Noida. It allowed Ducati Owners to explore the potential of their Machines in an exclusive track day event. The Customers also got a chance to participate in Ducati Road Academy, where Ducati Certified Instructors taught the riders basics of Motorcycle Riding. It was double treat for all Attendees, as the event was Attended by None Other than Factory Ducati MotoGP Rider Andrea Dovizioso, he interacted with everyone present at the event, he shared details about his journey which saw become one of the best riders in the world, his talked about his likeness about the Desmodici 19, the most advance racing bike in the World.
    Pablo Ciabatti the Racing Director Ducati Corse who was accompanying the Rider, seemed impressed by the racing facility, he though the BIC can hold a MotoGP race sometime in the future, subject to Dorna Sports and FMSCI interest. Shell the Sponsor of the Event showed their shell Advance engine OIL promo PACK, Ducati, in the light of the occasion unveiled the team and Riders for the upcoming Superbike race in BIC. Multi Event Winner Rajini Krishnan and his Teammate Dilip Lalwani will represent the Ducati India Team, with their Panigale V4s.

    Ducati and Shell Announce Riders Day, Andrea Dovizioso will be Part of It

    Ducati and Shell will launch the first annual “Shell Ducati Riders” Day, the event will include academy sessions and open track day, the event will bring together, enthusiasts and Ducati owners, who will be training and riding in the presence of DRE certified instructors. Another surprise all the attendees would be the presence of Andrea Dovizioso, who will be available for the event. The Road Academy has limited no of 25 slots, Ducati owners can book their slots for Rs 7,000, the track session which is limited to 40 slots – costs Rs 11,000. 25 winners of the recently conducted a Shell India contest from will get a chance to meet with Andrea Dovizioso. The company will conduct another contest for a select group of technicians and 10 of them finalised from the lot will get the opportunity to watch the Malaysian MotoGP. html

    India Bike Week to be held on 6-7th December

    India’s Biggest motorcycle Event, India Bike Week is all set to come back in 2019. The event will be held in Goa, this will be the 6th Edition of the festival. The first edition of event was held in 2013. A one-day pass costs Rs 1,200, while a two-day pass is priced at Rs 2,000. The attendance at the event is expected to be about 20000. While the exact details of the event is known, we can expect a bigger scale event this year, since it skipped last year.html

    Registrations for BMW GS Trophy Indian Qualifying Event

    BMW India has open registrations for BMW GS Motorcycle owners (650cc and above) in India, the winners of the national qualifier will allow the winner to compete in BMW Motorrad International GS Trophy 2020 to be held in New Zealand. The Winners will be given full BMW equipment along with a BMW GS motorcycle till the duration of the event.

    Mr. Rudratej Singh, President and Chief Executive Officer, BMW Group India said, “The GS Trophy is not a rally or a race; it focuses mainly on team spirit as well as skills that are tested in various ways. The seventh edition of International GS Trophy will take place from February 9–16, 2020 in New Zealand. The BMW F 850 GS is the chosen motorcycle for 2020 edition Trophy. The BMW F 850 GS is a thoroughly modern middleweight adventure motorcycle and is perfectly suited to the challenge.

    Honda Launches Africa Twin Adventure Camp In India

    Honda 2Wheelers has launched an Adventure Camp to make the Africa Twin owners understand their Vehicles by imparting theoretical and Practical Off road Training to them.     BMW Motorrad India Launches the new S 1000RR

    BMW Motorrad India has officially launched the new BMW S1000RR in India, the motorbike would be available as a completely built up unit (CBU), the motorcycle can be booked from all BMW Motorrad dealerships from the launch date. The BMW S1000RR has been the at the pinnacle of Supersport category since it was first launched 10 years back. The RR is a truest superbike in every sense of the word. The design of the motorbike reflects style which makes it distinct from its competitors. The new RR features lower weight, newly developed chassis, suspension, engine, dashboard, design and philosophy. The features newly developed Shift Cam technology. It is the first bike to feature an M Package developed by BMW.

    MV Agusta F3 RC launched at Rs 21.99 lakh

    Italian Motorcycle manufacturer MV Agusta has launched the F3 RC at Rs. 21.99 Lakh (Ex showroom). The superbike F3 RC (Reparto Corse) drives power from a 798cc, three-cylinder engine that puts out 153hp at 13,250rpm and 88Nm of torque at 10,600rpm. The superbike has an SC-Project exhaust, anodized aluminium mirror caps, billet aluminium brake/clutch levers, and billet aluminium foot pegs. Other equipment’s of the bike include a fibre-glass rear seat cover, a bike cover, a rear paddock stand and a limited-edition certificate of origin.

  • Triumph Scrambler 1200 XC launched at Rs 10.73 lakh

    Triumph Motorcycles has launched the Scrambler 1200 XC in India at a mouth-watering price of Rs 10.73 lakh. In the International Market the Scrambler 1200 is available in two variants – a base XC, and an a more off-road focused XE, as of now, the XC has made its way to India. The power is delivered by the engine borrowed from Thruxton, 90hp at 7,400rpm with 110Nm of torque at 3,950rpm, even though the engine is of same displacement and class, it makes less power and torque than Thruxton. Other features include full LED lighting, a slip and assist clutch, switchable traction control and ABS as standard, the bike also offers also a range of riding modes – Rain, Road, Off Road, Sport and Rider.

  • Aprilia Storm 125 launched at Rs 65,000

    The much awaited scooter Aprilia Storm 15 has been launched in India at a price of Rs. 65,000 ( Ex showroom). The scooter is powered by single cylinder, three valve air cooled engine as seen in SR 125 which produces 9.5hp at 7,250rpm and 9.8Nm of torque at 6,250rpm. The Storm 125 rests on what looks like 12-inch wheels with the design looks similar to the 10-inch ones seen on Vespa models in India instead of Aprilia’s SRs. These wheels are paired to drum brakes that will feature CBS.

  • Bajaj Avenger Street 160 ABS launched at Rs 82,253

    Bajaj has launched the Avenger Street 160 ABS at a price of Rs 82,253 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The bike will be available in two colour variants – Spicy Red and Ebony Black. Street 160 is powered by an engine which is similar to the one on the Pulsar NS160, the bike produces slightly different power figures with 15hp available at 8,500rpm with a maximum torque of 13.5 Nm coming in at 7,000rpm. The bike has good ground clearance of 177mm, it weighs the same as Avenger 180 at 150kg (kerb weight).

  • Hero Xpulse 200, 200T launched at Rs 94,000

    Xpulse 200 is the off-road-focused model which comes in two variants - a carbureted version priced at Rs 97,000 and fuel injected variant which costs Rs 1.05 lakh. Both Motorbikes are powered by a 199.6cc single-cylinder unit, air-cooled motor which is similar to Xtreme 200R. The unit generates 18.4hp of power output at 8,000rpm and 17.1Nm of torque at 6,500rpm, same numbers produced on the Xtreme. Both Motorbikes feature a 5-speed gearbox. An important feature which differentiates two models are wheels and tyres. The Xpulse 200 comes on a 21- and 18-inch wheel combo with 90/90-21 tyres in front and 120/80-18 at rear, whereas the Xpulse 200T gets 17-inch wheels front and rear, with 100/80-17 and 130/70-R17 tyres.

    Bajaj has launched the CBS version of the Bajaj Platina (Kick Start) at Rs 40,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The bike comes in two colour variants – Ebony Black with silver decals, and Cocktail Wine Red and is equipped with a 102cc, two-valve, single-cylinder engine that makes 7.9hp at 7,500rpm and 8.3Nm of torque at 5,500rpm. This engine comes paired to a 4-speed (all-down) gearbox. The Platina 100 has a fuel-tank capacity of 11.5 liters.

    The retro style motorcycle Marcus Royal Enfield has launched its newest model–the Bullet trials. The trial 350 is priced at Rs. 1.62 Lakh and the Trials 500 is priced at Rs. 2.07 Lakh. Royal Enfield has called the journey of Bullet “the most enduring tale in motorcycling” and this new model is an addition to the list of motorcycles that have worn the Bullet badge in the past. The new models are equipped with the same engine and gearbox as in the standard Bullet range counterparts. The 346cc motor makes 20hp and 28Nm of torque, while on the Bullet Trials 500, the 499cc motor produces 27.5hp and 41.3Nm of torque.

  • 2019 Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight Special, Street Glide Special launched

    Harley Davidson, the motorcycle manufacturer has launched two new bikes, The Forty-Eight Special, priced at Rs 10.98 lakh, The Street Glide Special, on the other hand, has been launched at Rs 30.53 lakh (Ex-showroom India). All the versions of the Forty-Eight is equipped by the same 1,202cc, air-cooled, V-twin engine in the same state of tune. The motor peak torque produced is 97Nm at 3,500rpm. The Street Glide Special, is part of Harley’s famous Touring line-up. The motorcycle is equipped with a 1,868cc Milwaukee-Eight 114 engine that makes a massive 163Nm of torque at 3,000rpm. the Street Glide has the amazing feature the brand’s ‘Boom! Box GTS’ system which is a 6.5-inch full-TFT display , a touchscreen unit that function as an infotainment system for the user to control music, phone calls, messages and navigation during the ride. The big cruiser also features a large 22.7-litre fuel tank and weighs 362kg dry .;

  • 2019 Yamaha MT-15 launched at Rs 1.36 lakh

    The Motorcycle manufacturer Yamaha has launched the MT-15 in India at price of Rs. Rs 1.36 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The MT-15 is equipped with 149cc FZ/FZS range by offering a more powerful engine and better equipment. Power is driven by a 155cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected motor from the R15 V3.0 that makes 19.3hp at 10,000rpm and 14.7Nm of torque at 8,500rpm. The MT shares power and torque as well as its 6-speed gearbox and slipper clutch with the R15 V3.0. The MT-15 also has a box-section swingarm, as opposed to an aluminium unit seen on the R15 V3.0 and the international-spec MT-15 to bring down the cost. The bike has fuel tank capacity of 10 litres, a ground clearance of 155mm and a kerb weight of 138kg.

  • Triumph Tiger 800 XCA launched at Rs 15.16 lakh

    The classic style motorcycle manufacturer Triumph has launched the Tiger 800 XCA in India at Rs 15.16 lakh. The Tiger 800 XCA is an off-road-biased motorcycle in the range of 800 XR, XRx and the XCx in India. The bike is equipped with inline-three-cylinder motor as the rest of the range, and makes 95hp at 9,500rpm and 79Nm at 8,050rpm and comes with six rider modes - Road, Off-­road, Off-Road Pro, Sport, Track and an additional Rider Customisable mode which is not present in the rest of the series. The bike has several advance features exclusive to the XCA which include a full-LED headlamp, backlit switchgear, a centre stand, an aluminium sump guard, an aluminium radiator guard and CNC machined footrests. The XCA has a few more display modes on the TFT screen and a pair of LED auxiliary lamps. The suspension duties are taken care of by a different-spec version of the WP 43mm USD fork and monoshock. The Front brakes are 305mm discs with Brembo two-­piston calipers, while rear braking is taken care of by a 255mm disc and a Nissin single-piston caliper .;

  • 2019 Yamaha MT-09 Launched In India; Priced At ? 10.55 Lakh

    Yamaha has introduced the new model of MT-09 which is priced at Rs. 10.55 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) with a price hike of Rs. 16,000. The bookings for the bike has opened at the Yamaha dealerships pan India and the deliveries may start by the end of the month. The new MT-09 has got subtle tweaks with a new colour variant Ice fluo. The bike comes in available in three colour schemes, the grey and fluorescent yellow colour scheme (Night Fluo) has been replaced with a white and red combination (Ice Fluo). MT-09 is equipped with an 847cc, three-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that makes 115hp and 87.5Nm of torque. Other salient features of the bike include ABS and traction control system along with a assist and slipper clutch, 41 mm USD forks up front and a monoshock unit at the rear, both of which are adjustable.;

  • 2019 Benelli TRK 502, TRK 502X launched in India, priced from Rs 5 lakh

    The motorcycle manufacturer Benelli has launched both the version of TRK 502 in India.The model has been priced at Rs 5 lakh, while the higher-spec model costs Rs 5.40 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom Delhi). The bike is launched in India in collaboration with Adishwar Auto Ride India (AARI), a subsidiary of the Hyderabad-based Mahavir Group. The bike derives Propulsion on the TRK 502 (both variants) comes from a 499.6cc, DOHC, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin motor making 47.5hp at 8,500rpm and 46Nm of torque at 6,000rpm, engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The suspension duties are handled by a 50mm USD fork and a monoshock in both versions, the suspension is not adjustable at the front, the rear can be adjusted for rebound and pre-load adjustment. Along with these amaing features the braking system is ABS-equipped, 320mm twin-discs up front and a 260mm disc at the rear. Speaking at the launch, Vikas Jhabakh, Managing Director, Benelli India said, “We are delighted to launch the TRK range as the first adventure offering from Benelli in India. The launch of the TRK range is just the beginning and we are committed to bringing many more exciting Benelli products through 2019.”

  • 2019 Kawasaki Versys 1000 launched at Rs 10.69 lakh

    Kawasaki has announced the price of the Versys 1000 which is Rs.10.69 Lakh (Ex showroom). The bike was unveiled at the 2018 EICMA after which Kawasaki India started the pre-bookings. The bike features 1043cc, in-line four-cylinder engine, similar to the Ninja 1000, produces 120hp at 9,000rpm and 102Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm. The bike also gets a stylish makeover which is inspired from the new-generation Kawasaki Ninja family. It is equipped with LED headlight, adjustable windscreen.

    The other salient features of the bike are Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC), Cruise Control, the Kawasaki Cornering Management Function (KCMF) and the Kawasaki Intelligent anti-lock Brake System (KIBS)

    The bike will come in Pearl Stardust White/Metallic Spark Black colour scheme.

    According to Kawasaki India the “all day, every day” Versys 1000 customers who booked during the pre-booking period can expect the delivery of their motorcycle from March 2019 onwards. Speaking on the launch Mr. Naoki Matsumoto, Managing Director – India Kawasaki Motors Pvt. Ltd., said, “The bespoke Versys 1000 has a style of adventure model, but it is most suited for sport riding and long touring. Technically, it is a crossover from the Ninja 1000 with a purpose of thrilling performance with everyday versatility. I hope our customers explore endless possibilities with the Versys 1000.”

    Triumph launched the second edition of tiger trail tour in the salt flats and sand dunes of Jaisalmer, the brand is offering a special price of Rs 35000 per person for the people who book the tour before Jan 15, after the mentioned the price would be increased to Rs 50000 per person. There are only 14 slots available though. The participants will be trained by rallyist and adventure Biking trained Mr. Vijay Parmar.     Royal Enfield undoubtedly , the world's largest mid capacity motorcycle manufacturer in terms of retail sales is all set to globally reveal the first prototype of 830 cc cruiser in the upcoming EICMA Motorcycle event in Milan(Italy) next week as speculated by the sources. Owned by the Eicher Motors, The Royal enfield lifted curtains from its 650 cc motorcycles in EICMA 2017 has now braced itself for the launch of yet another world premiere at EICMA 2018. Ever since the teaser image of the bike has been released, Lot of speculations about the bike has been travelling all over the internet, some of the stand out features may include saddle like solo seat, new shape head lamp and new alloy wheels.

With the peak festive season coming in the months of October and November this year, the Company expects to maintain the trajectory with healthy double-digit growth in the coming months.

    Kawasaki India has been on a launching spree , introducing the 2019 version Z650, Z900. These are updated graphic versions with 650 cc engine.
