News Story
Ducati has officially unveiled the 2025 Panigale V4, marking the most significant update to its flagship superbike since its launch in 2018. This latest iteration brings a host of changes, including the removal of the iconic single-sided swingarm, a shift that is bound to stir debate among Ducati enthusiasts.
Revamped Engine and Performance Enhancements
The 2025 Panigale V4 features a revised 1,103cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine, now compliant with Euro5+ emission standards. Although the engine produces a marginally higher peak power of 216hp at 13,500 rpm, it reaches this output 500rpm higher than before. Torque is slightly reduced to 120.9 Nm at 11,250 rpm but is achieved at a higher rpm of 1,750rpm. This fine-tuning aims to balance performance and emission requirements.
New Swingarm and Weight Reductions
In a surprising move, Ducati has replaced the single-sided swingarm with a conventional double-sided swingarm on the 2025 model. This change results in a 2.7kg reduction in weight and 37 percent less lateral stiffness, enhancing the bike’s track performance and handling.
Advanced Suspension and Tires
The Panigale V4 now boasts the latest Ohlins Smart EC 3.0 electronic suspension, inspired by Ducati’s MotoGP technology. This upgrade not only improves performance but also contributes to a 600g weight saving. The bike is equipped with Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa V4 tires, maintaining the same size but enhancing grip and stability.
Innovative Electronic Features
The 2025 model introduces a new Race eCBS system, which automatically applies the rear brake based on lean angle, throttle position, and rear load, eliminating the need for manual rear brake engagement. The bike’s electronics are managed via a 6.9-inch TFT display and include comprehensive rider aids such as power modes, traction control, launch control, wheelie control, riding modes, and a bidirectional quickshifter.
Aerodynamic Redesign
Ducati has overhauled the Panigale V4’s aerodynamics with a new fairing design that improves wind protection for the rider. The repositioned winglets maintain the same downforce levels as before. Additionally, the bike features redesigned LED headlights and taillights with distinct U-shaped LED strips, enhancing both aesthetics and functionality.
Pricing and Availability
The Ducati Panigale V4 range is priced at Rs 27.72 lakh for the base model and Rs 33.48 lakh for the S variant in India. While international pricing is yet to be announced, a price increase is anticipated for the updated model.
The 2025 Ducati Panigale V4 represents a significant evolution in Ducati’s superbike lineup, featuring major updates in engine performance, suspension, electronics, and design. This overhaul reflects Ducati’s commitment to innovation while addressing both performance and regulatory requirements. As the new Panigale V4 hits the market, it will undoubtedly continue to attract attention from motorcycle enthusiasts and riders alike.
