Kawasaki India has launched the updated 2026 Vulcan S cruiser motorcycle at a price of ₹8.13 lakh (ex-showroom). The latest version retains its core mechanical package while introducing E20 fuel compatibility and a new Metallic Flat Spark Black colour scheme.
Powering the Vulcan S is the familiar 649cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine, now tuned to meet E20 fuel norms. The motor continues to produce 61hp at 7,500rpm, while torque output drops slightly by 1.4Nm to 61Nm at 6,600rpm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox, delivering smooth power ideal for both city cruising and highway rides.
The chassis and hardware remain unchanged for 2026. The cruiser features a 41mm telescopic front fork and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear, with braking handled by a 300mm front disc and a 250mm rear disc, aided by dual-channel ABS. The seat height stays at a comfortable 705mm, while ground clearance remains at 130mm. However, the bike now weighs 235kg, making it 6kg heavier than before.
Visually, the Vulcan S adopts a new, stealthy Metallic Flat Spark Black finish, replacing the outgoing Pearl Matte Sage Green option. Beyond the new colour, no cosmetic changes have been introduced.
At ₹8.13 lakh, the 2026 Vulcan S stands as a unique middleweight cruiser in the Indian market, with no direct rivals. The Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650, priced from ₹3.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), remains its closest and more affordable alternative.
