Tarun Mehta, co-founder and CEO of Ather Energy, recently shared an exciting update on Twitter. He posted a picture of the first Rizta rolling off the production line. Launched two months ago, the Ather Rizta is a family-focused electric scooter. It is now gearing up for deliveries by July. Available in three variants, the Rizta S, Rizta Z (2.9kWh), and the range-topping Rizta Z (3.7kWh), it promises to cater to various needs.

Rizta S: The Entry-Level Variant

The Rizta S comes equipped with a 2.9kWh battery. It boasts a claimed range of 123 km and a top speed of 80 kph. This variant is designed for those seeking a reliable and efficient commuting option without the extra frills.

Rizta Z: The Mid-Spec Marvel

The mid-spec Rizta Z retains the same range and top speed as the entry-level variant. However, it stands out with additional features. It offers four more dual-tone color options, a 7-inch TFT screen with Google Maps, and Bluetooth connectivity. This variant also includes Ather’s SkidControl and Magic Twist, enabling traction control and regenerative braking. For enhanced comfort, it comes with a premium seat and a passenger backrest.

Rizta Z: The Range-Topping Model

The top-of-the-line Rizta Z includes all the features of the mid-spec variant. Additionally, it is equipped with a larger 3.7kWh battery, offering a claimed range of 159 km. This model is ideal for those who seek the highest performance and range in their electric scooter.

Charging and Availability

Charging times vary between the models. The base and mid-spec variants require a claimed 5 hours and 45 minutes to fully charge. In contrast, the top-spec Rizta Z achieves a full charge in just 4 hours and 30 minutes.

The Ather Rizta is priced competitively, with introductory prices set at Rs 1.10 lakh for the entry-level variant, Rs 1.24 lakh for the mid-spec variant, and Rs 1.44 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru) for the range-topping version.
