Bajaj Pulsar N125 Launched: Affordable Performance with New Features and Design

News Story

Bajaj has officially launched the Pulsar N125 in India with prices starting at Rs 94,707 for the base variant and Rs 98,707 for the Bluetooth-enabled version. This latest addition to the Bajaj Pulsar lineup is designed to offer budget-friendly performance and technology for city commuting.

Advanced Bluetooth Variant and High Ground Clearance

The Bluetooth variant of the Pulsar N125 stands out for its additional features, including a larger dash, Bluetooth connectivity, and a silent starter. Both versions boast a high ground clearance of 198mm, making the bike well-suited for varied terrains.

Engine and Performance Specs

The Pulsar N125 is powered by an all-new 124.58cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that delivers 12hp at 8,500rpm and 11Nm of torque at 6,000rpm. This engine is paired with a 5-speed gearbox, providing a smooth and reliable ride suitable for city conditions and occasional long rides.

Chassis and Braking System

Bajaj uses a single-cradle frame for the Pulsar N125, supported by a telescopic fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking is handled by a 240mm front disc brake and a 130mm rear drum brake with CBS (Combined Braking System) for added safety. Unlike its competitor, the Hero Xtreme 125R, which offers ABS, the N125 keeps things simple with CBS.

Tyre Options Based on Variants

The Pulsar N125 offers slight differences in tire size depending on the variant. Both variants come with an 80/100-17 front tire, but the rear tire on the base variant is a slimmer 100/90-17, while the Bluetooth variant features a wider 110/80-17 tire, enhancing stability and grip.

Sharp Design and Color Options

The Pulsar N125 showcases a striking, sporty design similar to the TVS Raider and Hero Xtreme 125R, with a sharp, aggressive stance and eye-catching color schemes. The base variant is available in four colors: white, black, red, and blue. The Bluetooth variant comes in three dual-tone options: black/red, black/yellow, and black/purple, adding a vibrant touch.

Comfort-Oriented Split Seat Design

Designed for comfort, the Pulsar N125 features a split seat configuration reminiscent of the TVS Raider. The pillion seat is set at a comfortable height, making it accessible and practical for daily commutes.

Unique Features and LCD Display

One notable feature of the Pulsar N125 is its plastic fork shrouds, which enhance the bike’s front-end appearance. With a 9.5-liter fuel tank, the bike weighs 125kg and has a seat height of 795mm, making it accessible to a wide range of riders. The 198mm ground clearance and underbelly exhaust give it an ADV-like stance, making it ideal for city roads and rough patches.

In terms of features, the Pulsar N125 includes an LED headlight, flanked by color-coded accents, adding a modern touch. The Bluetooth variant comes with a larger LCD display with basic Bluetooth connectivity, providing turn-by-turn navigation and call alerts.

Pulsar N125 in the Competitive 125cc Market

With the Pulsar N125, Bajaj directly targets the TVS Raider and Hero Xtreme 125R, providing Indian riders with a blend of performance, style, and features at an affordable price. The Bluetooth connectivity, sharp design, and durable build make it a promising choice in the 125cc segment, promising a balanced mix of technology and everyday usability.
