Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z Launched at Rs 1.85 Lakh

News Story

The Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z has hit the market at an attractive price of Rs 1.85 lakh. Let’s dive into the exciting features and specifications that make this bike a standout choice for enthusiasts.

Powerful Engine and Performance

Under the hood, the Pulsar NS400Z is powered by a liquid-cooled, 373cc, single-cylinder engine. This engine is the same as the one found in the Dominar, delivering an impressive 40hp at 8,800rpm and 35Nm of torque at 6,500rpm. Bajaj claims a top speed of 154kph, making it a thrilling ride.

Advanced Transmission and Exhaust System

The bike features a 6-speed gearbox setup paired with a slip-and-assist clutch. Unlike the Dominar 400, the NS400Z uses an underbelly exhaust muffler, similar to the smaller NS200. This design choice adds to its sleek and sporty look.

Suspension and Braking

Suspension duties are managed by a 43mm USD fork with a gold finish and a preload-adjustable monoshock. The braking system includes a 320mm front disc with a 4-piston Grimeca axial caliper and a 230mm rear disc, ensuring reliable stopping power.

Lightweight and Rider-Friendly

With a fully brimmed 12-litre fuel tank, the NS400Z weighs 174kg, making it 19kg lighter than the Dominar. Its seat height of 805mm makes it accessible and comfortable for shorter riders.

Tyres and Unique Design Elements

The NS400Z comes with 110/70-17 front and 140/70-17 rear tyres. It’s one of only two 40hp bikes to feature a 140-section rear tyre, the other being the Yamaha R3. The headlight setup is unique, featuring a central LED projector flanked by edgy lightning bolt-shaped DRLs. The tank extensions and overall design are sharp and aggressive.

Riding Aids and Technology

The Pulsar NS400Z offers four riding modes: Sport, Road, Rain, and Offroad. It includes three levels of traction control and switchable dual-channel ABS (active only in Offroad mode). All rider aids are controlled through a color LCD dash, which also displays navigation data, music playback controls, and a lap timer. The switchgear is brand new with adjustable brake and clutch levers.

Color Options and Pricing

The Pulsar NS400Z is available in four colors, all priced the same at Rs 1.85 lakh. This introductory price makes it the most affordable entry into the 40hp performance category.

Bookings and Delivery

Bookings are open for a token amount of Rs 5,000 at all Bajaj showrooms and on the company’s website. Deliveries are set to begin in the first week of June.

The Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z, with its blend of performance, advanced features, and competitive pricing, is poised to be a game-changer in the market. Don’t miss the chance to experience this exciting new ride!
