After launching the updated Jawa 42 last month, Classic Legends has introduced a new model under the 42 series, named the Jawa 42 FJ. This new addition comes at a premium price, costing Rs 26,000 more than the base model Jawa 42, with prices ranging between Rs 1.99 lakh to Rs 2.20 lakh.

Bigger Engine, More Power

The Jawa 42 FJ is powered by a 334cc engine, derived from the new Jawa 350. This engine produces 29.1hp and 29.6Nm of torque, delivering a higher output compared to the Jawa 350, which generates 22.57hp and 28.1Nm. Additionally, the 42 FJ offers 2hp more and 3Nm more than the standard Jawa 42.

The bike has a seat height of 790mm, a ground clearance of 178mm, and weighs 184kg, which is 2kg heavier than the regular Jawa 42.

Stylish Design and Features

In terms of design, the Jawa 42 FJ draws inspiration from the Yezdi Roadster, showcasing a similar silhouette. It features a brushed aluminum tank cladding and a new LED headlamp, enhancing its premium appeal. The instrument cluster and switchgear are borrowed from its sister company, Yezdi, adding a familiar touch of quality.

Customers can choose between spoked or alloy wheel setups, with the alloy wheels being the same as those found on the Jawa 42 Bobber. The 42 FJ also comes equipped with dual-channel ABS as standard, with no option for a single-channel ABS variant.
