News Story
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has officially launched the Dio 125 X-Edition scooter at Rs 87,733 (ex-showroom, Delhi), shortly after teasing it on their website. This new variant stands out with a bold blue/grey dual-tone paint scheme accented by red alloy wheels, offering a fresh, louder aesthetic while keeping the core mechanics identical to the standard Dio 125.
What’s New
The X-Edition features the same 123.9cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine producing 8.3hp and 10.5Nm torque, along with the full rolling chassis and features like a TFT display. However, it skips Bluetooth connectivity for calls, notifications, and music control – that’s exclusive to the pricier H-Smart top variant. The vibrant styling with contrasting red wheels gives it a sportier, premium vibe for young commuters.
Pricing and Positioning
Priced just Rs 1,000 above the base Dio 125, the X-Edition undercuts the H-Smart variant by Rs 3,950, making it an attractive middle-ground option. On-road prices range from Rs 94,735 to Rs 1.01 lakh, positioning it competitively against rivals like TVS Ntorq 125, Suzuki Avenis, Yamaha RayZR 125 Hybrid, and Hero Xoom 125.
This launch refreshes the Dio lineup with eye-catching style at an accessible price, perfect for city rides. Visit your nearest Honda showroom for a closer look.
