Honda has introduced a special limited-edition variant of its flagship litre-class motorcycle, the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP Carbon Edition. This exclusive version is limited to just 300 units globally, with a portion of the allocation already designated for France and the UK.

Limited to 300 Units with Premium Carbon Fibre Finish

This highly coveted CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP Carbon Edition features extensive use of carbon fibre throughout its bodywork. Inspired by the MotoGP-winning RC213V race bike, Honda has crafted six unique components using 3K/12K pre-impregnated carbon moulded through the autoclave method. These carbon fibre elements include the front mudguard, under cowl, middle cowl, rear tyre hugger, airbox cover, and winglets, giving the bike a sleek, race-inspired look.

To maintain its stealthy and premium appearance, Honda has applied a UV-resistant matte clear coat over the carbon fibre parts. This lightweight material reduces the motorcycle’s overall weight by 1kg compared to the standard Fireblade SP, improving agility and performance.

Performance Remains Unchanged: 999cc Inline-4 Engine

Despite the aesthetic upgrades, the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP Carbon Edition continues to be powered by the same 999cc inline-4, water-cooled engine that delivers 217hp at 14,000rpm and 113Nm of torque at 12,000rpm. This power-packed engine ensures that the Carbon Edition retains the blistering performance that the Fireblade is known for.

Pricing and Availability

Honda has allocated 45 units to the UK and 70 units to France, with more allocations likely to be announced soon. In the UK, the standard CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP is priced at GBP 23,499, while the all-new Carbon Edition costs GBP 26,749, marking a significant price increase due to the premium carbon fibre components and exclusive nature of the model.

As of now, it remains unclear whether any units of the Carbon Edition will be allocated to the Indian market, but enthusiasts are eagerly waiting for updates from Honda.
