In the world of motorcycles, anticipation and excitement are building as Husqvarna unveils its latest masterpiece – the Svartpilen 801. Scheduled for a grand debut on March 19, this new addition to the Husqvarna lineup promises to redefine the adventure touring experience. Let’s delve deeper into what makes the Svartpilen 801 a highly anticipated release.

Parallel-Twin Powerhouse: The Heart of the Svartpilen 801

At the core of the Svartpilen 801 lies a robust 799cc parallel-twin engine, inherited from its KTM 790 Duke cousin. Delivering a thrilling 105hp, this powerhouse ensures exhilarating performance on any terrain. Coupled with a 6-speed gearbox featuring a bi-directional quickshifter, the Svartpilen 801 offers seamless gear transitions, enhancing both efficiency and riding pleasure.

Design Inspired by Excellence: Svartpilen 801 Aesthetics

Drawing inspiration from its smaller sibling, the Svartpilen 401, the Svartpilen 801 boasts a striking design that blends style with functionality seamlessly. At the front, a round LED headlamp with an integrated DRL ring commands attention while providing optimal illumination. The addition of a flyscreen further enhances aerodynamics and rider comfort, making long journeys a breeze.

Distinctive Features: What Sets the Svartpilen 801 Apart

While sharing similarities with the Svartpilen 401 in design, the Svartpilen 801 introduces unique features that set it apart from the crowd. The prototype showcases a headlight grille and bash plate, hinting at its off-road capabilities and rugged persona. These additions not only elevate the bike’s aesthetics but also enhance its practicality and durability, catering to riders seeking adventure beyond the beaten path.

Unveiling the Svartpilen 801: Global Reveal and Beyond

As the global reveal of the Husqvarna Svartpilen 801 approaches, enthusiasts and critics alike are eagerly awaiting the moment when this masterpiece hits the road. With its powerful engine, distinctive design, and innovative features, the Svartpilen 801 promises to redefine the adventure touring segment, offering riders an unparalleled experience of freedom and excitement.

The bike uses the same tubular chassis as KTM 790 Duke but is suspended by adjustable WP units at both ends. Additionally, the Svartpilen 801 gets a different five-spoke alloy wheel design shod with dual-purpose rubber. The Svartpilen 801 will likely utilize a TFT dash but with a Husqvarna-specific graphic and will get a full suite of electronic rider aids much like its orange sibling.

Currently, there are no large-capacity, multi-cylinder KTM models available in India and there aren’t any plans on the horizon to bring them to our shores either, so it’s highly unlikely that the Svartpilen 801 will join its younger sibling – the Svartpilen 401 – here anytime soon.
