News Story

Kawasaki has introduced the all-new Versys 1100 in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs 12.90 lakh. This adventure-tourer replaces the Versys 1000 and arrives with a powerful engine, enhanced touring capabilities, and a premium feature set.

Powerful Inline-Four Engine

The Versys 1100 is powered by a 1,099cc, inline-four, liquid-cooled engine.

It produces 135hp at 9,000rpm and 112Nm of torque at 7,600rpm.

Kawasaki has equipped the bike with a revised 6-speed gearbox, featuring longer fifth and sixth gears for better touring efficiency.

Heavier but More Capable

The Versys 1100 weighs 257kg, which is 19kg heavier than the Ninja 1100SX.

It retains the same 820mm seat height as the Ninja 1100SX.

The ground clearance is increased to 150mm, making it more capable on rough terrains.

Feature-Rich Touring Bike

Kawasaki has packed the Versys 1100 with premium touring features:

21-litre fuel tank for long rides

Adjustable windscreen for enhanced aerodynamics

Bidirectional quickshifter (available as an accessory)

Integrated panniers for extra storage (optional)

Comfortable touring seat for extended rides

Multiple protective accessories to enhance durability

Pricing and Competition

At Rs 12.90 lakh, the Versys 1100 is positioned between its competitors:

BMW F 900 XR (Rs 12.55 lakh)

Triumph Tiger 900 GT (Rs 13.95 lakh)

While the Versys 1000 was slightly more expensive than the Ninja 1000SX, the Versys 1100 is Rs 59,000 cheaper than the Ninja 1100SX (Rs 13.49 lakh).
