News Story
TVS has given its flagship model, the fully-faired Apache RR310, a significant update. The refreshed sportbike is now priced from Rs 2.75 lakh (ex-showroom), marking a Rs 3,000 increase over its previous starting price. Along with the price hike comes a more complex variant lineup, where the fully-loaded version crosses the Rs 3.25 lakh mark. These updates justify the added cost by bringing in several new features and tech upgrades.
More Powerful Engine: 38hp and 29Nm Output
One of the most notable changes in the updated Apache RR310 is its improved engine performance. The motor now delivers 38hp at 9,800rpm and 29Nm at 7,900rpm, a noticeable upgrade from the previous 34hp and 27.3Nm. This power boost is attributed to multiple factors such as:
A 13% larger airbox
A higher compression ratio
A 10% lighter forged piston
A larger diameter throttle body
These changes enhance the bike’s performance, with several upgrades borrowed from its naked sibling, the Apache RTR 310.
New Features: Winglets and Advanced Rider Aids
TVS has also added winglets to the RR310’s bodywork, which are designed to generate up to 3kg of downforce, improving stability at higher speeds. Additionally, a transparent clutch cover is a new visual highlight on the updated version.
The new Apache RR310 comes equipped with a suite of electronic rider aids under the RT-DSC (Race Tuned Dynamic Stability Control) system, including:
Cornering ABS
Traction control
Wheelie control
Cornering cruise control
These features are facilitated by a new IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit), but they are only available through the Dynamic Pro kit, an optional extra under TVS’ Built To Order (BTO) customisation program. This kit costs an additional Rs 16,000.
Optional Kits: Dynamic Pro and Dynamic Kit
To further enhance the riding experience, TVS offers two optional kits:
Dynamic Pro Kit (Rs 16,000) – Adds RT-DSC and the full suite of rider aids, including cornering cruise control.
Dynamic Kit (Rs 18,000) – Includes fully-adjustable KYB suspension, tyre pressure monitoring system, and a brass-coated chain for added durability and performance.
Pricing Breakdown and Variants
The updated Apache RR310 starts at Rs 2.75 lakh for the base model, which is offered only in red and excludes the bi-directional quick-shifter. If you opt for the Dynamic Pro or Dynamic kit, the price climbs further. The new bomber grey colour scheme is priced at Rs 2.97 lakh, making it Rs 5,000 more expensive than the red version with the quick-shifter, which is priced at Rs 2.92 lakh.
With improved engine performance, advanced rider aids, and the introduction of new design elements like winglets and a transparent clutch cover, the TVS Apache RR310 solidifies its place as a premium offering in the sportbike segment. While the base model offers a good value for money, the optional kits and higher-spec versions cater to those seeking top-tier features and customization options.
