TVS iQube Lineup 2024: Variants Explained
TVS Motor Company has expanded its iQube electric scooter lineup for 2024. The range now includes five distinct variants, offering a variety of features and specifications to cater to different needs and budgets. The base variant, priced at Rs 94,999, is the most affordable option available.
Base Variant: Affordable and Efficient
The base variant of the TVS iQube features a 2.2kWh battery. TVS claims this model delivers a real-world range of 75 km. Charging the battery from 0 to 80 percent takes about 2 hours, thanks to the standard 950W charger included with all models. This variant also boasts a top speed of 75 kph and weighs 115 kg. Additionally, it offers 30 liters of underseat storage, slightly smaller than other variants.
Enhanced Variant: More Power and Features
For those seeking more, the larger variant with a 3.4kWh battery is available. This model, previously the base version, now includes a 5-inch TFT display with tow and theft alerts and turn-by-turn navigation, enhancing safety and convenience.
Expanding the iQube ST Line-Up
The iQube ST lineup has been significantly expanded to include models with 3.4kWh and 5.1kWh batteries. The 5.1kWh variant was introduced to the public over two years ago but has only recently launched, likely due to changes in India’s subsidy landscape.
iQube ST 3.4: Advanced Features and Better Range
The iQube ST 3.4 variant offers a claimed real-world range of 100 km. It retains the fundamentals of the previous models but introduces new features such as a 7-inch touchscreen TFT display. This display includes Alexa voice assist, digital document storage, and a tire pressure monitoring system, in addition to the basic Bluetooth functionality. Priced at Rs 1,55,555, it takes 2 hours and 50 minutes to charge from 0 to 80 percent.
iQube ST 5.1: Top-of-the-Line Performance
At the top of the range is the iQube ST 5.1 variant. This model has the largest battery capacity of any Indian electric scooter, with a real-world range of 150 km on a single charge. It features a higher top speed of 82 kph and a charging time of 4 hours and 18 minutes from 0 to 80 percent. The ST 5.1 includes all the features of the ST 3.4 variant and is priced at Rs 1,85,373.
Loyalty Bonus for Early Customers
TVS has announced a special offer for customers who pre-booked the ST variant before July 15, 2022. These customers can purchase either the 5.1 kWh or 3.4 kWh variant with an introductory loyalty bonus of Rs 10,000, providing additional value for early adopters.
Conclusion
The expanded TVS iQube lineup offers a range of options for electric scooter enthusiasts. From the affordable base variant to the feature-rich ST models, TVS caters to a wide spectrum of riders. With enhanced features, improved battery capacities, and special offers for early customers, the iQube series is set to strengthen TVS’s position in the electric scooter market.
