News Story

TVS has launched the Apache RTX 300 adventure tourer in India with introductory prices starting at Rs 1.99 lakh, going up to Rs 2.29 lakh for the top-tier BTO (Built To Order) variant. The bike is available in three variants: Base, Top, and BTO.

Powered by a new 299cc liquid-cooled RT-XD4 engine, it produces 36hp at 9,000 rpm and 28.5Nm torque at 7,000 rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox featuring a bidirectional quickshifter and assist & slipper clutch, tuned for linear performance with an emphasis on low-end torque.

Designed primarily as a tarmac-focused adventure tourer with light off-road capability, the Apache RTX features an all-new steel trellis frame, 41mm USD front fork, and monoshock rear suspension, both with 180mm travel. It rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels with dual-sport tires, offering 200mm ground clearance, an 835mm seat height, and a kerb weight of 180kg.

Safety and convenience features include disc brakes with dual-channel ABS, switchable traction control, four riding modes (Urban, Rain, Tour, Rally), and cruise control across all variants. Higher variants come equipped with a 5-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity via the TVS SmartXonnect app, enabling Google Maps mirroring and more.

TVS has partnered with Givi for a range of touring accessories, including panniers and tank bags, and will launch adventure riding gear in collaboration with Alpinestars. The Apache RTX competes with the Suzuki V-Strom SX, Yezdi Adventure, and KTM 250 Adventure, providing a well-rounded adventure touring option in its segment.
