Yamaha has brought back the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Edition colour schemes on the R15 V4 and MT-15, citing strong customer demand for the livery. Alongside this, the brand has also introduced new colour options for the FZ-S Fi Hybrid and FZ-S Fi.
**Yamaha MotoGP Editions: What’s new?**
The Monster Energy MotoGP Edition livery replicates the graphics seen on Yamaha’s YZR-M1 factory MotoGP machine and has previously been offered on both the R15 and MT-15 in earlier years, making this a reintroduction rather than an all-new design.
The R15 V4 MotoGP Edition is priced at Rs 1.76 lakh, making it up to Rs 3,000 more expensive than the standard colour options of the motorcycle. The MT-15 MotoGP Edition, on the other hand, is priced at Rs 1.77 lakh, commanding a premium of up to Rs 13,000 over some colourways of the standard MT-15.
In both cases, the update is purely cosmetic. Yamaha has made no changes to the mechanical package on either motorcycle. Both continue to be powered by the same 155cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 18.4hp and 14.2Nm of torque.
It’s worth noting that despite the price bump, the MotoGP Edition R15 V4 remains considerably more affordable than the top-spec R15M, which is priced closer to Rs 2 lakh, giving buyers a way to get race-inspired styling without stepping up to the more expensive variant.
**New colours for the FZ-S range**
Yamaha has also refreshed the colour palette on its FZ-S models. The FZ-S Fi Hybrid gains a new Ice Storm colour scheme, while its existing Matte Black variant has been updated with revised graphics. The FZ-S Fi, meanwhile, gets a new Metallic Black option.
Unlike the MotoGP Editions, these new FZ-S colourways come at no additional cost. The FZ-S Fi Hybrid continues to be priced at Rs 1.39 lakh, while the FZ-S Fi remains priced at Rs 1.29 lakh, both unchanged from before.
