Ducati reveals the new Monster, India launch next year

News Story

The 2026 Ducati Monster has been unveiled with a return to its iconic big, muscular tank design, shared with the Multistrada V2, Streetfighter V2, and Panigale V2, powered by a new 890cc V-twin engine producing 111hp at 9,000 rpm and 91.1Nm of torque. It weighs just 175 kg (dry), making it 4 kg lighter than its predecessor, and features a lightweight aluminium monocoque chassis, Showa suspension, and Brembo M4.32 calipers with 320mm discs for strong braking performance.

Ducati has equipped the Monster with advanced electronics, including a six-axis IMU managing lean-sensitive cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, and engine brake control, along with four riding modes. The bike sports a larger 5-inch TFT display, dynamic sweeping indicators, and a round DRL headlight. Seat height is 815mm, customizable to 775mm with an accessory kit.

Available in Ducati Red and Iceberg White, the Monster comes in two variants: the standard and Monster Plus, the latter adding a small windscreen and seat cowl. While the outgoing model was priced at Rs 13.84 lakh (ex-showroom India), the 2026 model is expected to be priced similarly or slightly higher and will launch in India in early 2026. This update marks a perfect blend of Ducati’s heritage with modern performance and technology.
