Hero Xtreme 125R Launched with Dual-Channel ABS and Cruise Control at ₹1.04 Lakh

News Story

Hero MotoCorp has quietly launched a top-spec variant of its popular Xtreme 125R, now featuring dual-channel ABS, cruise control, and riding modes, making it the first motorcycle in its segment to offer dual discs with dual-channel ABS. Priced at ₹1.04 lakh (ex-showroom), this sporty commuter competes with the TVS Raider, Honda CB125 Hornet, and Bajaj Pulsar N125 while pushing new technology boundaries in the 125cc category.

The latest Xtreme 125R is equipped with a ride-by-wire throttle system that enables three riding modes—Power, Road, and Eco—controlled via a segmented color LCD similar to that of the Glamour X. This not only enhances rider convenience but also brings greater customization of the riding experience based on conditions and preferences.

Under the hood, the bike retains its 124.7cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine producing 11.5hp and 10.5Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed gearbox. The new variant introduces three exclusive color options—red, silver, and green—each adorned with subtle triple stripes, giving it visual differentiation over other Xtreme 125R models.

While priced ₹9,000 higher than the TVS Raider with a TFT display, the Hero Xtreme 125R offers superior safety with dual-channel ABS and advanced electronic aids like cruise control and ride modes, presenting a compelling package for entry-level riders seeking sportiness with modern features.
