Hero Motorcorp has raised the bar in the sporty commuter motorcycle segment by launching the all-new Hero Xtreme 160R 4V Combat Edition. Building on its success with the Xtreme 125R, the Combat Edition now brings advanced features like cruise control and selectable riding modes to the popular 160cc platform.
The Xtreme 160R 4V Combat Edition sports a striking grey and fluorescent yellow paint scheme that immediately sets it apart on the roads. A major highlight is the addition of ride-by-wire technology, enabling three riding modes—Rain, Road, and Sport—controlled seamlessly via a new vibrant colour LCD dash, a first in this segment. The motorcycle also gains a modern LED projector headlight shared with the flagship Xtreme 250R, complete with an ‘H’ shaped DRL that enhances visibility and road presence.
Under the hood, the motorcycle retains its potent 163.2cc, 4-valve, air and oil-cooled engine that produces 16.9 PS of power and 14.6 Nm of torque, complemented by a KYB inverted front fork and a monoshock rear suspension for agile handling and riding comfort.
While Hero has not officially announced the pricing, industry analysts expect the Combat Edition to be priced around Rs 1.35 lakh ex-showroom, a reasonable premium over the base Xtreme 160R 4V’s Rs 1.30 lakh price tag. This feature-packed variant aims to challenge competitors like the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and Yamaha FZ-X in the fiercely contested sporty commuter segment.
With cruise control, multiple riding modes, and a high-tech display now accessible in the 160cc segment, Hero once again demonstrates its commitment to delivering advanced technology and rider convenience at an attractive price point. The Xtreme 160R 4V Combat Edition is set to redefine the riding experience for young enthusiasts across India.
Stay tuned for the launch and booking details from Hero Motorcorp as this exciting new model prepares to hit showrooms soon.
