Kawasaki India has launched the 2026 iteration of its popular neo-retro street bike, the Z650RS, at a price of ₹7.83 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated model brings minor yet important updates, including E20 fuel compatibility and a new Metallic Blue with Gold paint scheme.
Mechanically, the motorcycle remains unchanged and continues to draw power from the familiar 649cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that now produces 68hp and 62.1Nm of torque—a marginal drop of 1.9Nm compared to its predecessor.
The motor is paired with a 6-speed gearbox, offering the same lively and smooth performance the Z650RS is known for.
The new E20-compliant engine aligns with Kawasaki’s broader effort to update its 650cc line-up, following models like the Ninja 650 and Versys 650.
Apart from the paint refresh, design elements such as the gold-finished wheels, classic round headlamp, and retro-styled bodywork remain unchanged.
With its updated features and colourway, the 2026 Z650RS comes at a premium of ₹14,000 over the outgoing model, which was priced at ₹7.69 lakh.
