Royal Enfield has officially filed a design patent in India for its upcoming Flying Flea S6, marking the second electric model under its Flying Flea sub-brand. The S6 scrambler follows the C6 roadster, which is expected to launch next year, and both models are built on the same ‘L’ platform tailored for distinct riding experiences.
First showcased at EICMA 2024 in Milan, the Flying Flea S6 is designed as a rugged, off-road-oriented electric scrambler in contrast to the urban-focused C6. Key differentiators include a 19-inch front wheel and 18-inch rear wheel fitted with spoked rims and dual-purpose tyres, paired with a long-travel USD fork for superior off-road capability.
The S6 also features distinctive styling elements like a long enduro-style seat replacing the C6’s solo saddle, and a finned magnesium battery casing for enhanced thermal management. While complete technical specifications remain under wraps, Royal Enfield has confirmed the presence of an off-road riding mode, switchable dual-channel ABS, lean-angle-sensitive ABS, and traction control.
Scheduled for launch later next year, the Flying Flea S6 positions Royal Enfield to compete directly in India’s rapidly growing premium electric two-wheeler segment. The design patent filing signals that production and market introduction are progressing on schedule.
