KTM 990 RC R Track Revealed: Ultimate 135hp Track Weapon for April 2026

News Story

KTM unleashes the hardcore 990 RC R Track, a stripped-down, non-road-legal evolution of its late-2025 superbike designed purely for circuit domination. Ditching lights, mirrors, and side-stand, this track-only beast gains power, sheds weight, and adds race-spec upgrades for serious lap-time hunters.

Power & Performance Upgrades
The 947cc LC8c parallel-twin jumps to 135hp and 105Nm (vs 130hp/103Nm standard), paired with a racing gearbox featuring longer 1st and shorter 6th gears. Akrapovic Evolution Line titanium exhaust weighs just 3kg, boosting response while meeting noise regs. Expect MotoGP-inspired aero from the RC16, taller windscreen, wet-weather tail-light, and paddock stand included.

Track-Optimized Hardware
Michelin Power Slick tyres on 17-inch wheels

Fully adjustable WP APEX suspension (track-tuned)

Brembo Hypure calipers with 320mm front/240mm rear discs (no ABS)

2kg lighter via compact electronics package

Advanced Electronics Suite
Three customizable Track modes let riders dial in throttle maps, traction control, wheelie control, launch control, engine braking, plus pit limiter. Bi-directional quickshifter and 4.2-inch full-color TFT display complete the pro setup.

International deliveries start April 2026 – KTM’s most track-focused middleweight ever. Serious racers, prepare your leathers
