Kawasaki has rolled out the 2026 Ninja 650 in India at ₹7.91 lakh (ex-showroom), giving the popular middleweight sport-touring machine subtle but meaningful updates for the new model year.

The biggest change comes under the skin — the 649cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine is now E20 fuel compliant, producing 68hp at 8,000rpm and 62.1Nm of torque at 6,700rpm. The proven motor continues to pair with a 6-speed gearbox featuring an assist-and-slipper clutch for smoother downshifts.

Suspension and braking remain familiar with a 41mm telescopic front fork, a rear monoshock, and twin 300mm front discs with a 220mm rear disc, all managed by dual-channel ABS.

Tech features include a 4.3-inch full-colour TFT display with smartphone connectivity through Kawasaki’s Rideology app and KTRC traction control for improved safety and performance.

Aesthetically, the 2026 Ninja 650 keeps its signature Lime Green colour but adopts fresh graphics first seen on the global model earlier this year. Despite a ₹14,000 price hike, it still offers excellent value when compared to rivals like the Honda CBR650R (₹11.16 lakh).

With its E20 upgrade and modern electronics, the Ninja 650 continues to strike a balance between everyday usability and spirited performance, making it one of the most accessible middleweight sportbikes in India.
