Triumph Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer Edition launched in India at Rs 17.99 lakh

News Story

Triumph has launched the Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer Edition in India at Rs 17.99 lakh ex-showroom, adding a limited-edition modern classic to its expanding 2026 lineup. The motorcycle is limited to 800 units globally, and each example comes with a certificate of authenticity, making it a highly exclusive offering for collectors and enthusiasts.

The Cafe Racer Edition is based on the Speed Twin 1200 RS, but it gets a much more distinctive visual identity. Triumph has fitted it with clip-on handlebars, a dual-tone green-and-silver paint scheme, a colour-matched headlight cowl, and a quilted tan leather seat that gives the bike a more premium and traditional cafe-racer appearance.

Mechanically, the motorcycle remains identical to the Speed Twin 1200 RS. It uses the familiar 1,200cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine, which produces 105hp and 112Nm and sends power to the rear wheel through a 6-speed gearbox. Triumph has also equipped the bike with a bi-directional quickshifter as standard, which adds convenience and sportiness to the riding experience.

The cycle parts are carried over from the RS as well, including fully adjustable Öhlins suspension, Brembo monobloc brakes, and Metzeler Racetec RR K3 tyres. The electronics package and rider aids are also unchanged, keeping the motorcycle firmly in the premium performance modern-classic category.

At Rs 17.99 lakh, the Cafe Racer Edition carries a premium over the standard Speed Twin 1200 RS, which is priced at Rs 16.78 lakh. That extra cost reflects the limited production run, special paintwork, upgraded seat, and collector-focused positioning, while also marking Triumph’s return to the cafe-racer space after the discontinuation of the Thruxton 1200.

Triumph has not yet confirmed how many units have been allocated to India, but the model is now listed on the company’s website. With its retro styling, premium hardware, and limited availability, the Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer Edition is aimed squarely at buyers who want exclusivity with a strong dose of classic British charm.
