Triumph Tracker 400 Launched at Rs 2.46 Lakh: Flat-Track Style with Tax-Smart 349cc Engine

News Story

Triumph Motorcycles India debuts the Tracker 400, a flat-track inspired roadster powered by a downsized 349cc single-cylinder engine (from the 398cc base) to slash taxes from 40% to 18%. Priced at Rs 2.46 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi), it slots perfectly between Speed 400 (Rs 2.32 lakh) and Scrambler 400 (Rs 2.60 lakh).

India-Specific 349cc Powertrain
Bore unchanged, stroke shortened for 349cc displacement while retaining 40hp @ 8,750rpm and 32Nm – matching Thruxton 400’s high-rev tune (vs 37hp in Speed/Scram). Liquid-cooled, 6-speed gearbox, slip/assist clutch. Akrapovič-inspired exhaust note; 13L tank promises ~350-400km range.

Flat-Track Styling & Chassis
17-inch alloy wheels both ends with grippy MRF REVZ FD1 tyres (110/70 front, 150/60 rear). USD front forks, preload-adjustable monoshock, 178mm ground clearance. 181kg kerb (2kg heavier than Speed 400). Minimalist design: boxy tank, flyscreen, number-board panels, color-matched seat cowl, rectangular LED tail-light shared with Thruxton.
