Yamaha has revealed the Aerox-E, the electric counterpart of its popular Aerox scooter. Powered by a 9.5 kW (peak) motor producing 48 Nm of torque, the Aerox-E uses dual 1.5 kWh removable battery packs, offering a certified range of 106 km per charge.
The scooter features a full-colour TFT display with app-based connectivity, providing turn-by-turn navigation and Bluetooth pairing. It offers multiple riding modes—Eco, Standard, Power—and an additional Boost mode for short bursts of acceleration. Safety is ensured with front and rear disc brakes supported by single-channel ABS.
Design-wise, the Aerox-E retains the twin LED headlight and LED tail-light of its petrol sibling but has modified ergonomics and reduced boot space for a sportier ride. The launch date in India is yet to be announced, but the scooter promises a high-performance, connected electric riding experience for urban commuters.
