Yamaha has officially launched the neo-retro styled XSR155 in India, priced at Rs 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Sharing the same 155cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine as the R15 and MT-15, the XSR155 produces 18.4hp and 14.1Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
Built on the Deltabox frame, it features USD forks, a monoshock, and a kerb weight of 137kg. Neo-retro design highlights include a round LED headlight, a 10-litre teardrop-shaped fuel tank with Yamaha branding, and a flat bench seat enhancing its classic look. Safety features include dual-channel ABS and traction control, while the instrument cluster is a fully digital LCD instead of the TFT found on its siblings. Available in four colors—blue, greyish green, red, and metallic silver—the XSR155 offers a blend of retro style with modern performance and technology, positioned competitively below the MT-15 by Rs 5,000.
