TVS has relaunched the iQube S with a bigger 4.7kWh battery pack

News Story

The scooter is now priced at Rs 1.37 lakh ex-showroom, Delhi, inclusive of subsidies. The updated model replaces the earlier 3.5kWh version and brings a claimed 175km IDC range, making it a more practical option in the brand’s electric scooter line-up.

What’s new
The biggest change is the battery upgrade. TVS has moved from the earlier 3.5kWh unit to a 4.7kWh pack on the iQube S, which increases the claimed range to 175km IDC. With this change, the model sits between the regular iQube variants and the top-spec iQube ST in TVS’s EV range.

The added battery capacity does bring a weight increase. The new iQube S now weighs 128.8kg, which is heavier than the base iQube 3.5kWh at 119.1kg, but still lighter than the iQube ST 5.3kWh at 132kg.

Performance figures
TVS says the mechanical setup remains unchanged despite the larger battery. The motor continues to make 4.4kW peak output, with a claimed top speed of 82kph. The scooter also claims a 0-40kph time of 4.3 seconds, which keeps it in the same urban-performance bracket as before.

Charging has also been highlighted as a strength. TVS claims the new iQube S can go from 0 to 80 percent in 4 hours, which is quicker than the base iQube variants with smaller battery packs.

Design and colours
Along with the battery update, TVS has added two new colour choices to the iQube S. The new shades are Magnificence Purple Beige and Harlequin Blue Beige, and they join the existing Titanium Grey Matte option.

No major design changes have been reported, so the update appears focused mainly on battery capacity, range, and colour expansion rather than a full cosmetic redesign.

Line-up update
The TVS electric scooter line-up now has three clear layers. The base iQube continues with 2.2kWh, 3.1kWh, and 3.5kWh battery options, the iQube S now gets the new 4.7kWh pack, and the iQube ST remains the flagship with a 5.3kWh battery.

This move looks aimed at giving buyers a better middle-ground option: more range than the standard iQube, but at a lower price and weight than the ST. That makes the iQube S a more compelling choice for riders who want longer commuting range without stepping all the way up to the premium variant.

Market position
At Rs 1.37 lakh, the relaunched iQube S is positioned as a value-focused long-range EV scooter in the current market. The claimed 175km range and faster charging will likely be the main selling points for urban riders who want fewer charging stops and more usable daily range.

The relaunch also suggests TVS is tightening the iQube lineup after briefly removing the S variant from its website. With the bigger battery pack now in place, the iQube S becomes one of the more balanced options in the brand’s EV portfolio.
